Pink Garbage

Garbage are on a roll. They've released 3 glossy music videos for their new album, Bleed Like Me. Their new album is really really good. It's all I'm listening to these days. The singles off the album are soo good & the lyrics are insane. They've released videos for "Why Do You Love Me?," "Bleed Like Me," and "Sex Is Not The Enemy." Shirley looks freaking cool in all the videos especially in "Sex..." She's back to being a redhead which is always a good thang. The video for "Why Do You Love Me?" actually includes real garbage fans and "Bleed Like Me" is a mini-movie which casts Shirley as a troubled nurse.
Garbage's iTunes celebrity playlist is one of the best in the music store. The list is made up of picks from Shirley Manson and Butch Vig, which have the best taste in music. Shirley's picks include songs by Courtney Love, Bright Eyes, Peaches, Arcade Fire, and Cat Power. Butch picks songs by Joni Mitchell, johnny Cash, and A Girl Called eddy.

  • School's Out

I just finished enjoying my second week of my summer vacation. Thank God for summer. It's hot as hell but at least I don't have 2 be at school for awhile. To celebrate here's Alice Cooper with "School's Out."

    "Well, we got no choice
    All the girls and boys
    Makin' all that noise
    'Cause they found new toys
    Well, we can't salute ya
    Can't find a flag
    If that don't suit ya
    That's a drag

    School's out for summer
    School's out forever
    School's been blown to pieces

    No more pencils
    No more books
    No more teacher's dirty looks

    Well, we got no class
    And we got no principles
    And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes

    School's out for summer
    School's out forever
    School's been blown to pieces

    No more pencils
    No more books
    No more teacher's dirty looks
    Out for summer
    Out 'til fall
We might not go back at all

    School's out forever
    School's out for summer
    School's out with fever
    School's out completely"

    Madonna On Kylie

Madonna made a statement about Kylie Minogue's breast cancer diagnosis Wednesday May 18, 2005:

"I was saddened to learn about Kylie Minogue's breast cancer diagnosis. I'm so grateful that they found it early. (Yet another reminder for all women to have annual mammograms.) Aside from being tremendously talented, Kylie's a fighter and I know this is a battle she will win. Let's all pray for her speedy recovery and send all of our best wishes her way. With love and light to you Kylie..." - Madonna

    Viva Paulina !

Paulina is the Mexican Kylie!!! I was cruising the iTunes music store and stumbled upon none other than Paulina Rubio's celebrity playlist. It's pretty good it's made up of 15 songs. She includes Kylie which always earns anyone a gold*star in my book. She also has songs by Gwen Stefani, Juanes and Alejandro Sanz and she isn't tacky like Mariah Carey and those other assholes who include their own songs in their playlists. It's nothing out of the ordinary but it's good. I'm glad I went to her concert earlier this month. She sang all the hits and looked crazy in an Indian headress. I bumped into familiar faces and heard Paulina sing live, what more could you ask for. I love the cover art for her lastest record. She's the Mexican Kylie!!!

Pink Is All the Rage: This Week's Pink Pic

After reading one of my favorite blogs I found this week's pink pic. It's a pic of the lead singer of The Killers, Brandon Flowers. Pink is a state of mind (or something).

The song of the week is The Psychedelic Furs - "Pretty in Pink" (this one's going out to Andie!)

p.s. (I can't believe I fell 4 that internet hoax a few weeks back about a sequel to Pretty In Pink, that's nvr going to happen.

    Pop Goes the World

I pissed my pants yesterday after discovering Tori Amos covered Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head." Tori is such a good sport & she did the song justice much like her recent cover of Madonna's "Like A Prayer." As a matter of fact I was one of many like minded individuals who requested on tori's website for Tori to cover the likes of the Queen of Pop McDonna and the Princess of pop Kylie. She performed the kylie cover in kylie's hometown of Melbourne, Australia on the 18th and she covered madge early on in her tour in washington d.c. Both covers sound awesome & the crowd loved both of 'em. It's so cool that amos covered one of kylie's best songs and Coldplay dedicated "the scientist" to her in a recent performance. I think it's great the most unlikely performers and entertainers have sent Kylie support after her recent breast cancer diagnosis.

Well in Gwen Stefani news- she's going to release a cd single for her latest single "Hollaback Girl" and it turns out she might release another solo album (i'm not sure if b4 or after making a new No Doubt record /I hope it's b4 cuz L.A.M.B. is bananas. I heart that record) and she might go on a short tour (i'm totally crossing my fingers i wanna hear her new songs live and see the harajuku girls and jam out to "the real thing." Her Harajuku Lovers line includes underwear, stationary, hats, baby clothes, T-shirts, cellphone charms and handbags. it's going to be sold at Urban Outfitters and Hello Kitty stores starting June 15.

There Is Much to Blog About...The FORCE is w/ me

Well I just saw Star Wars Epiosde 3: The Revenge of the Sith & I loved it.it was intense. obi-wan left anakin in shreds no wonder he needed the insane outfit. I really wanted to see the midnight showing Wed. but I didn't score tickets. I didn't like the last one so much but this one was great. Vader is the best. I had an awesome burger @ fuddrucker's after the movie. the safari burger is bananas it has slices of pineapple that make it fantastic. Everyone should try the safari. this time i ordered it medium 1/2 lb. last time I ate it i made the mistake of ordering the 1 lb. burger and gained like 5 lbs. but it was awesome. that burger is like mount everest & i lived to tell the tale.
The O.C. was crazy yesterday. I can't believe Marissa shot Ryan's brother, Trey. This week has been a BUMMER. I finally have the time to watch my favorite tv shows & they're all ending. Tuesday saw the season finale of Gilmore Girls, Wed. the season finale of Smallville, Thursday had The O.C. season finale which was insane and Will & Grace which I missed cuz I was watching The O.C. Which brings us to this Sunday, Desparate Housewives is having its finale. I think last week or the b4 had Jack & Bobby's season finale which was crazy cuz it turns out Lou Diamond Philips is Jack & bobby's dad. That's as crazy as Jimmy Smits being Princess Leia's stepdad. Thank God for latino represenatatation but it's crazy. I love it! So now I have to hope for reruns of Arrested Development which ended like last month and reruns of Joey & will and grace which I stopped watching when the new oc started. here's hoping for the wb and nbc to run reruns of gilmore girls, one tree hill, smallville, jack & bobby ( which i missed cuz of a stupid class I had on wednesdays @ that time) i know for sure fox is going to give reruns of the oc. thank God. next week One Tree Hill is going to end but I'm ok with it cuz i kinda don't like the show as much as i used to. Isn't SNL's season almost over too? Oh well! In other news a letter I wrote to the editor has its own rebuttal which i think is brilliant. I can't wait for Mr. & Mrs. Smith it looks so good the cast is bananas=angelina jolie/brad pitt/ adam brody/vince vaughan how can it go wrong & the director's style is cool i love the preview, then there's bewitched (i heart nicole) , the sisterhood of the traveling pants ( l <3 alexis bledel/ gilmore girl:rory), cinderalla man, batman begins, and that new one with scarlett johanson& obi wan himself/ewan mcgregor, etc. in other amazing news gwen stefani announced on jimmy kimmel live she's working w/ sanrio on her harajuku lovers line to create stationary & other hello kitty~esque junk.
