Viva La Dolce Madonna!.... Je suis désolée

And finally here's the official cover of Madonna's new single which was taken by Madonna fan, Marcin Kokowski.

Here's le original photograph that was reworked by Giovanni Bianco

I just think it's brilliant Madonna chose to use a photograph taken by a fan. It's a live picture taken during her gig at G-A-Y in London recently.

Big Up to Madonna!

Dolce & Gabbana gave a big shout out to my girl Madge during their new runway show.

Oh Shirley!

Shirley Manson posted a new diary entry on garbage.com. Check it out here:

01.17.06

Happy New Year dearest darklings. May you all enjoy sparkling good
health and joyousness every step you take in 2006.Of course the
likelihood of this great joy being experienced on a daily basis is
not very probable but think big and you never know your luck.

Anyways......time is roaring on and we're already 6 years on from the
beginning of the new millenium. New songs are sung, new stars have
appeared. Lindsey Lohan is 19 years old and poor old Jessica is
practically a divorcee. I keep waking up in the middle of the night
with pangs of deep rooted, existential anxiety about the meaning of
life and whether I remembered to put out the rubbish for the bin men
and whether my recyclables will truly be recycled or whether the
government are just pretending that they will to make neurotic people
like me not take to the streets over that big gaping hole in the ozone.

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and I thought to
myself " I need to find a way to make my life exciting again" and I
really meant it but when I woke up this morning I wasn't quite so
sure I was certain of my own meaning and how I was going to attend to
it.How do you make your life exciting? And what exactly IS exciting
anyway?!?!?!

I saw Steveo yesterday at his New Years party.I said "How are you
feeling Steve" He said "I'm great. How about yourself?" I said "I'm
feeling old and ugly and anxious and I keep waking up in the middle
of the night with a racing pulse and dry mouth" Steve looked at me
for just a split second longer than necessary before handing me an
exceedingly large and strong vodka cocktail.
" I find these can help with all of that" said he.
And we clinked glasses and grinned at one another.
Having band brothers means you don't ever need to explain yourself.

So what else? Well we're still on our "hiatus" and it's beginning to
feel really bizarre. It's a little like deciding to refrain from
having sex with your wife. Butch is about to become a father which is
a very wonderful, exciting thing indeed and then he is set to begin
producing other bands again. Steve is working on a film score,Duke is
busy putting the finishing touches to an incredible american folk
anthology he's been working on for years and I am wondering about
making music again and with whom!?!
I feel like I'm on the dating
scene again after being married for ten years.Very VERY fucking strange.

I suppose you will have read all the controversy about JT in the
press. Suffice to say that the books remain a marvel and whoever
wrote them is still a genius whether they are a man, woman or
wilderbeast.
It's perfectly fair that people are confused and up in arms about it
but if you have read the books and understand them, why on earth would
you ever assume that the person who wrote them was your regular,
9-5,cookie -cutter joe?

Saw Brokeback Mountain yesterday and broke down in tears at the very
end. Not so much at the film itself per se but what it is taking a
stand against. I hope Ang Lee is rewarded for his bravura film making
within such mainstream parameters. It's arguably safer and definitely
easier to be prococative whilst skirting around the edges of popular
conciousness but taking boldness right into the very core of
mainstream culture takes courage and great skill.

I also finally got around to watching "DIG" the Dandy Warhols and
the Brian Jones Town Massacre dvd which was mesmerizing and really
rather funny if also a trifle sad. I also got caught up in rapt
wonderment over " Fearless Freaks" centering around the mighty
Flaming Lips and finally I watched Scorcese's Bob Dylan documentary
which is astounding. All three of the aformentioned are unmissable
and unbearably great for different reasons if you are at all
interested in music, musicians or the human spirit.

Finally.......please keep your fingers crossed for me next tuesday as
I'm going to be taking my driving test and then immediately going out
and buying myself a car.I know it's a tad overdue (bearing in mind
how old I am and whatnot) but nevertheless........there's a lesson in
all of this and it is this: Don't count a bitch down and out until
she's well and truly dead.

I really hope Shirley takes the leap Stefani did and releases a solo record. I love love love Shirley and would love to hear some solo material.

I've Heard It All Before

I just finished listening to the Pet Shop Boys' remix of Madonna's "Sorry." It's good. I really like it; the Neil Tennant vocals are on it as promised. The song was already really good but this just takes what's good about it and makes it better. I suggest doing a Technorati search for it. I hope what I heard is the real deal and not a fake.

Shirley Manson's Celebrity Playlist

Here's Shirley Manson's celebrity playlist which I found over at rhapsody.com. They're desperately trying to rip off iTunes, but who cares. They were smart and went to my official music guru, Shirley Manson. Her playlist of course is genius.

1. Razorlight: "Rip It Up"

2. A Girl Called Eddy: "Tears All Over Town"

3. Bjork: "Pleasure Is All Mine"

4. Jay-Z: "Dirt Off Your Shoulder"

5. My Chemical Romance: "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"

6. The Blue Nile: "Because of Toledo"

7. Kasabian: "Club Foot"

8. Kanye West: "Jesus Walks"

9. Missy Elliott: "Work It"

10. Kings Of Leon: "Molly's Chambers"

11. The Distillers: "The Hunger"

12. The Killers: "Somebody Told Me"

13. Peaches: "Fuck The Pain Away"

14. White Stripes: "Hotel Yorba"

15. Elliott Smith: "Pretty (Ugly Before)"

16. The Strokes: "Last Nite"

17. P.J. Harvey: "Who The Fuck?"

18. Eminem: "Lose Yourself" (explicit)

19. U2: "Vertigo"

20. Franz Ferdinand: "Take Me Out"

21. Snow Patrol: "Run"

22. Courtney Love: "All The Drugs"

23. Green Day: "American Idiot"

Shirley has such great taste in music. I'd love to hear her collaborate with all the greats: Debbie Harry, Siouxsie Sioux, Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith, Courntey Love, and P.J. Harvey. Even with Peaches, Gwen Stefani, Kanye West, Missy Elliott, Bjork, Jack White or Andre 3000. It would be so cool. She's already sang live with Debbie Harry, Chrissie Hynde, Gwen, Brody Dalle and Peaches, so the next step would be to work in the studio. Hearing Shirley work with Richard X or the Neptunes would also be amazing. Other cool producers I'd love to hear her work with are William Orbit and of course Butch Vig. Her work with Garbage has been so great and her lyrics are always the bee knees so a solo album would be super kawaii.

OPRAH IS SOOO WHITE!

So Neil Diamond is on Oprah today. Neil has the audience rockin' out to "Sweet Caroline" piano bar style.

FUCK MARISSA COOPER!

Today is officially Friday the 13th; how spooky! Anyway yesterday I got a MySpace bulletin from My Chemical Romance about the new Underworld soundtrack which features a remix of their song "To The End" called the RnR Cheryl Mix. It sounds good real good. The Underworld soundtrack doesn't look likes it's good. But at least it has My Chemical Romance and
a remix of
Alkanline Trio's song "Burn" called the Alleged remix. Anyway speaking of Alkaline Trio word on the street is that lead singer Matt Skiba and his wife walked down the aisle to "You're So Cool" from True Romance I love that. They inspired to me to download the song cuz it's so good and I've always liked it but I've never thought of downloading it. It's just as good as the instrumental music in Desperately Seeking Susan and the music in Six Degrees of Separation. That has to be the best wedding song I've ever heard of. This one's going to skiba and his lady lover "YOU'RE SO COOL!!!"

Anyhow back to My Chemical Romance Rumor has it My Chemical Romance's DVD, Life on the Murder Scene, will be released on February 7th and they have a really good celebrity playlist at iTunes.

My Chemical Romance's celebrity playlist:
"There She Goes" by The La's
"I Wanna Be Adored" by The Stone Roses
"Radio" by Alkaline Trio
"Angel" by Massive Attack
"Range Life" by Pavement
"A New England" by Billy Bragg
"The Universal" by Blur
"Pounding" by Doves
"Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits
"Eagle Fly Free" by Helloween

Hello! who doesn't love THE MISFITS!

Speaking of misfits who saw The O.C. last night? Didn't it just suck? I'm so over Marissa Cooper. She sucks! Her and all her drama are so 2005. The whole episode was about getting her reinstated into Harbor. Like I'm really supposed to believe Sandy Cohen would ignore his work to deal with her case. Yes he's self righteous and loves being a public defender but c'mon people. Marissa Cooper is so annoying. Her and her ordeal with Johnny is so tired. Marissa Cooper is one of the least charismatic characters on TV ever. I watch The O.C. in spite of her. I lovemesome Mischa Barton but I'm so over Marissa. I can't wait for her sister to join the cast, even though it's really funny how she's aged like a hundred years and went from munchkin to hottie overnight. I always thought it was funny how she was sent off to boarding school cuz she was a dud of a child like Maya from Six Feet Under but this storyline is a bit of stretch. They should really write off Johnny already; he sucks.

I'm Sorry...So Sorry

Here's yet another possible cover for Madonna's upcoming single. So far this is the one that looks the most believable even though I still have my doubts that any of them are it. I'll believe it when I see it.

While You Were Sleeping The World Was Turning...Applebee's Dreams to Y'all

For anyone who cares about these things, Madonna has announced the remixers for her new single, "Sorry." She's about to film the video and she even had a contest for one lucky member of her fan club ICON to meet her on the set of the new video. FYI: Her new webstore has just opened. Leave it to Madonna to peddle wine, tacky art, and sequined belts, etc. There's a really cool t-shirt I need.
It'll go really well with my new Levi iPod-ready jeans!

The remixers for "Sorry" have just been confirmed and include:
Pet Shop Boys (I just can't wait, the song is already sounds like a lost Pet Shop Boys song),
Man With Guitar (another Stuart Price incarnation- I likey), Paul Oakenfold (No offense but I can't believe he still can remix Madonna songs; isn't he like ova!), Green Velvet (Who?)
the final tracklisting will be out soon! The Queen of Pop is can currently be found on the cover of the latest issue of Elle magazine.

Colin Farrell & Nicole "My claim to fame is that i'm an ex-Playboy playmate" sex tape surfaced on the net on dirtycolin.com His face on that second screencap is classic. I guess he needs the bad publicity to promote his boring new movie. The poor guy needs some buzz.

Courtney Love is busy like a lil' bee working on her new album. I wonder what the album gonna be called. Song titles include 'Sunset Marquis' (a cut which takes its name from the legendary hotel in Los Angeles), 'Wildfire,' 'The Depths of My Despair,' 'Never Go Hungry Again,' 'Bedroom Walls,' 'Sad But True,' 'How Dirty Girls Get Clean,' 'For Once in Your Life'(a power pop-cut), and the anti-cocaine rant 'Loser Dust.' The title "Loser Dust" is no surprise since in an interview for Blender magaizine in 2004 Courtney was quoted as saying she was covered in 'loser dust' and talked about how Drew Barrymore wouldn't take her calls. Courtney always has the best song titles. She's a self-proclaimed "title troll," and I likey that 'bout her. I can't wait I love love love Courtney. Hole records really helped shape my taste in music. She's working with Brit rocker guitarist Anthony Rossomando from ex-Libertine Carl Barat's new band Dirty Pretty Things and Ben Gordon, guitarist and keyboardist for Liverpool's The Dead 60s along with Billy Corgan (whoa big surprise) and Jerry Cantrell. Found this over at the NME website. It seems they're the only ones still interested in Courntey besides me. I love the English. I wonder who's going to release her album since Virgin records chickened out on crazy Courtney.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt announced she's pregnant with what is scheduled to be the best looking baby on the planet. That baby is going to get really good genes. It will have to be cloned. J/k!

Lindsey Lohan vehemently denies her confessions of a broken heart in the new issue of Vanity Fair. I read the article I don't find it that shocking but I guess since the bitch always works for Disney she's trying to maintain her squeaky clean image. Oh Lindsey you so crazy! I actually like the article but whatever, she's gotta eat. Not!

In another chapter in the James Frey brohaha over A Million Little Pieces now the publisher is offering refunds to anyone who bought the book directly from them. How fucked up is that! That sucks ass. I can't wait to see the idiot on Larry King tonight. I'm glad cuz I just couldn't stand the way Oprah was pushing the book day in and day out, talking about how she forced her staff to read the book otherwise they wouldn't get paid.

And in politics, which everyone knows is show business for the ugly community,
Alito was grilled over and over again by white Democrats who love black folk and other minorities about his membership in CAP some anti-minority group in Princeton. I loved it. His wife had a massive black freakout which made for good TV.

Good day and good night here's to everyone's Applebee's Dreams!

Who's The Real Slim Lady???

More and more covers are popping up for Madonna's new single "Sorry" but which is the real deal??? They both look pretty bogus including the one I posted before. Only time will tell.

Madonna's Mea Culpa

Rumor has it that this is the new cover for Madonna's upcoming second single "Sorry." It comes out in February around Valentine's Day I hope it includes the Pet Shop Boy's remix of "Sorry." The song is already Pet Shopesque so it makes perfect sense they should remix it. Madonna made a "personal plea" to the Boys to remix the track. The video is going to be directed by Jamie King Madonna's choreographer. The video is going to be a spin on MTV's "Pimp My Ride."

Here's the blurb about the remix from the Pet Shop Boys' official website:

We can confirm that Pet Shop Boys have remixed Madonna's next single, "Sorry", which will be released in February. At the moment we do not know whether "Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix)" will be commercially released or only made available on promo copies to club DJs. Chris and Neil remixed the track in December and Neil added some vocals to it. Further release details will be here when we have them.

Lady Madonna seems to have taken a page from the Kylie Minogue book of pop since Ms. Kylie has worked with the Pet Shop Boys extensively. She's dueted with the Pet Shop Boys on "In Denial" which was also on the setlist for her most recent tour Showgirl (Hello- Madonna saw Showgirl back in May in London) and they wrote a song for Kylie, "Falling," back in the day for her self titled album. I'm convinced it was Stuart Price's idea for the Boys to remix "Sorry." FYI: I read that back in the day the Boys considered giving "Heart" to Madonna." Interesting- most interesting.
